Commemorative Voyage
On April 17 and 18, the Odyssey of an Ironclad replayed the original voyage of the CSS Albemarle from its construction site near Scotland Neck downriver to Plymouth, NC. UNC-TV's North Carolina Now featured the reenactment on its April 22 show. See the video here!

Notice! While navigable waters are public, much of the land along the Roanoke & its tributaries is privately owned.  Please respect private property.  Get permission before docking on or crossing private property.

Remember that these lands and waters are also great for hunting deer, turkey, ducks and other species.  Know when hunting seasons are in session and take extra care if exploring during these seasons.
